Thomas was Alone developer Mike Bithell has announced – and released – his next game: a follow-up to Subsurface Circular called Quarantine Circular.

Like Subsurface Circular, Quarantine Circular is a science fiction text adventure-style game that can be completed in a couple of hours and costs £4.79.

Unlike Subsurface Circular, however, Quarantine Circular includes multiple endings and multiple active characters. So, you can have a drastic effect on how the narrative goes and, according to Bithell, even who is present in the game’s final moments.

Here’s how it looks:

“Many, many, adults reached out to us about Subsurface Circular and expressed how happy they were that they could sit down and complete a game after a long day at work or in the few hours they had to themselves after putting the kids to bed,” Bithell said.

“The Steam community also showed us that there is a place for short games. Subsurface Circular maintains a 95 per cent+ recommendation rate on the platform and has a less than three per cent return rate (despite being shorter than two hours).”
