Daniel Bryan once again continues to tease the wrestling universe in terms of his in-ring future. At the recent Ring of Honor pay-per-view Best in the World, Cody Rhodes defeated Christopher Daniels to capture the ROH Championship. While taking it upon himself to congratulate the new champion and former WWE star, Bryan revealed that he would love to challenge Rhodes for the title in September of 2018, this is if he is still holding the belt by then. Bryan posted the following messages not long after Rhodes’ victory:
Congratulations! Being @ringofhonor champ for 462 days transformed me as a wrestler and was one of the best times in my career. Enjoy it! https://t.co/alSLGCeNcX
Side note, if you hold the @ringofhonor title 462 days I may have to come after you, which would be 9/28/18. Be forewarned! #FinalCountdown https://t.co/alSLGCeNcX
Daniel Bryan has been making the news lately with his recent comments about possibly returning to the ring one day. Bryan was forced into retirement by WWE back in 2016, but he has stated that he would not be opposed to working in a wrestling promotion outside of WWE once his contract with the company expires next year. Furthermore, Bryan also confirmed that he is “working on” a wrestling return in the near future. As he mentioned in the tweets, Daniel Bryan was a former ROH Champion himself back in the day. He became a legend in the industry when he wrestled for the company under his real name of Bryan Danielson. We’ll have to wait and see if Bryan or any other wrestling company is willing to put him back in the ring again until next year at the earliest.
Rapper Lil Yachty appeared in a video with TMZ recently, and he admitted that he recently had a meeting with WWE that could eventually garner him an appearance on their programming. The 19-year-old rapper is a huge fan of professional wrestling, hence why he was wearing a Hardy Boyz t-shirt in the video. When asked if he would be open to appearing for WWE one day, Yachty claimed that he has been in talks regarding an appearance, and he joked that he would like to get paid for getting beaten up. Yachty became a sensation in the music industry last year after the success of his song Broccoli. The hip hop artist also revealed that his finishing move would likely be called the “Boatbuster.”
